Class Mentor volunteers support young people to develop their financial and enterprise skills within our one-day school-based programmes. Volunteers help to facilitate a group of young people across varied age groups to undertake pre-designed tasks, and share their own experiences to help bring the activities to life.

What do students do during a Launch Pad session?

Through a series of hands on, fun activities students will engage in a number of sessions during the day where they will discover the importance of key skills for business, workplace and future lives in general. Working in small teams, students will participate in a competitive business challenge where they work on the early stages of launching a fledgling business. They will use key employability skills and get the chance to develop new ones.

Your Role as Volunteer

As a volunteer you will be asked to: • Work with a small number of young people • Facilitate the activities/challenges • Use the opportunity to weave in your own experience when exploring a topic and bring it to life with examples from your experience/organisation • Share your skillset and ambitions as it will help to raise aspirations • Be a role model • Have Fun!
