Speaker (Business speaker and support at Truro College Launch)

We are looking for business people who can help the business studies groups taking on the Company Programme with support and ideas during the launch session. The students will be setting up their own business to run as part of their business studies course.

Hearing from relatable role models is key to building a young person’s aspirations for the future. We are looking for a diverse range of volunteers who are willing to advise on their experiences of the world of work, entrepreneurship, managing money, learning new skills, overcoming obstacles, and much more.

We are not just looking for CEOs and those who have followed a traditional education and work background; those with non-traditional backgrounds and experiences can be hugely inspiring to young people who may not feel they ‘fit the mould’.

We are looking for those in business who can connect with Young people and help them be the best they can be. You will need to be -Confident and able to address a large group of young people -Patient, encouraging and open-minded -Comfortable in the presence of young people (but no specific experience is necessary) -Able to communicate appropriately with young people and develop age-appropriate content -Comfortable in the use of basic IT
