Competition Judge (Competition Judge for Pitch to the Panel (21/02/2024))

Some of our Young Enterprise programmes involve competitions and/ or opportunities to provide impartial feedback to groups of young people. To ensure our young participants can get the most out of these activities, we are looking for volunteers to support the judging of these events.

The key activities of the role include: -Joining a panel of volunteers to review and assess business propositions prepared by a group of young people -Collaborating with and positively challenging others to agree which groups are successful -Contributing to and providing constructive and well-rounded feedback to groups of young people

A great Competition Judge will be: -Patient, encouraging and open-minded -Comfortable in the presence of young people (but no specific experience is necessary) -Able to communicate appropriately with young people to provide and present meaningful feedback to them -Comfortable in the use of basic IT -Able to take on and weigh up information in different formats ie. Written, video, in-person interviews, applying scoring criteria consistently and fairly
